Animal Shelter Fund Raiser

521 Promo has added a new addition to our family called A Night On The Town. This is an amazing opportunity for Animal Rescue/Shelters to bring in a major profit to their organization without spending any money out of pocket.

The concept of this fund raiser is using custom playing cards as restaurant and service coupons.

There is a little bit of work involved for the shelter/rescue group, but nothing compared to a tricky tray. This unique fund raiser guarantees min profit of $15,000 for the organization. There are several ways to approach this fund raiser. If you work for or are involved in animal rescue you should all know the importance of having a fund raiser that will bring your organization a lot of money.

A Night On The Town provides a rep that will explain in detail the process needed to complete this fund raiser. We will also provide all materials needed to sell the decks and deck spaces.

These customized playing cards are still fully playable and will have your organizations logo and information printed on the back of each card and also the tuck box.

Several shelters in the NJ area are taking advantage of this amazing opportunity for a unique fund raising idea.

Choosing the right custom playing card manufacture.

If you are looking to purchase custom playing cards for your business, wedding, anniversary, or any other special event please read on for some useful information you may or may not know about customized playing cards.

Choosing the right manufacture or playing card company to print your playing cards is very important. Don’t always go with the first company you come across. There are several custom playing card manufactures out there for you to choose from. Most of these companies all work with the same people and are very interconnected. So pricing should be the same across the board. Here is where you want to take a closer look. Most companies will have an e-mail request form or want you to call for pricing which is fine, judge the company by how fast they respond to your inquiry. If they get back to you with in a reasonable amount of time (no more than 24hrs) then they have passed the first test. If you send an inquiry to a custom playing card company that takes more than that to respond to a quote request (which means money in their pocket) how long will it take them to take care of a problem situation? So once they have responded and sent over pricing the next step is to request samples from the company so you know exactly what you are getting. Most people do not realize there are several different thickness and quality of custom playing cards. You want to make sure the cards are at least 300 GSM if you are planning to have people use them more than once.

There are several reasons why people choose a thinner custom playing card stock or a thicker playing card stock, but if you have any intent of these custom playing cards actually being used I would not suggest going any lower than a 300 GSM. The reason I say to receive samples and a written estimate from the custom playing card manufacture is because they know the general public does not know about the different thickness. Basically I’m telling you to compare apples to apples, because not only is the thickness different but also so are the prices. One company may quote you $4.50 per deck for 100 decks where another company will quote you $3.25 for 100 decks. The most obvious choice too most buyers would be to go with the $3.25 per deck without first wondering why the price difference per deck is so high. One simple answer that question is GSM or card thickness.

Another reason why you want to receive samples is so that you make sure that what you are paying for is what you get. I personally have seen some shady things going on in this industry where a customer will order custom playing cards at $4.50 a deck thinking they are getting 300 GSM and with no samples to compare them too have no idea they have just received 260 or 280 GSM and the custom playing card manufacture just made a lot more money on you. It’s sad to say but these things do happen and I owning my own custom playing card company do not agree with these tactics so I would like to warn everyone out there before they get ripped off.

521 Promotional Advertising prides itself on customer service and satisfaction and hopes that all the other companies in this industry would do the same. 90% of our business is repeat or client referral’s and we not willing to give that up to make a few bucks from a client that does not have the knowledge of custom playing cards that we do.

We have been in the custom playing card industry for over 10 years and counting and we intend to keep it that way. We don’t BEAT the competition we ARE the competition!

Custom Playing Cards for Advertising ?

Custom playing cards used as advertising? Actually YES and they are an amazing way to do so. Custom playing cards are a fun, new and unique way to promote your company, birthday party, wedding, or any special event. 521 Promo has a laundry list of clients ranging from fortune 500 companies all the way down to mom and pop shops that use this inventive way of advertising.

Think about it, many companies use the typical tote bags, pens, calendars, coasters, mugs and other promotional advertising products that EVERYONE else uses. When you come in with something new with a professional appearance and it’s something they can and will actually use the possibilities are endless.

With custom playing cards you can customize the backs, the faces (suits and numbers) and the boxes. For example if you have new products launching you can put your company logo on the back of each card and have a picture and description of each of your new products on the face of the cards and still have them be playable. This allows for maximum exposure for all of your new or existing products to be seen and actually read about. Hey who knows it might actually help you with your poker game when your client is too busy reading about your product to pay attention to the game.

Custom playing cards also come in several different finishes and sizes. Just because they are printed on playing card stock doesn’t mean you can’t make your very own custom playing card game buy making everything completely custom. You can print heart shapes, ovals, house shapes, pizza shapes and many more! Visit one of 521 Promo’s many sites to view more options. There are a few different finishes too! The 100% plastic cards come in glossy or matte finish and the plastic coated playing cards come in linen, glossy and matte.

Custom Playing Cards

Custom playing cards have become a HUGE success over the past few years. There are several reliable companies out there selling custom playing cards. There are a few things to look for when making this purchase. One, where are the cards coming from? Some custom playing card companies purchase overseas giving you a better price, but a way longer wait. The typical lead time for overseas is 30-45 days. If you purchase custom playing cards in the US the price may be a bit higher but they can definitely meet your rush needs being able to deliver customized playing cards within 3-7 days.

The next thing you will need to decide is which type of cards stock you are looking for. There are SEVERAL out there. I would not recommend going any lower than 280GSM personally I do not like to sell anything other than 300GSM I feel it's in the middle it's not too thick or too thin. Most companies will offer either 280, 300 or 320Gsm.

After you have chosen weather you would like your custom playing cards from overseas or the US and have now chosen the card stock you will need to choose the finish. There are several different finishes to choose from. I will list a few but of course there are many more. Linen, plastic coated, 100% plastic, frosted, glossy etc. I would recommend speaking with someone at the company you choose to help decide which finish is the best for your custom playing card use.

When it comes to packaging the options are limitless. The most common would be to customize your own box. This is typically a standard custom playing card tuck box with your own artwork on and around it. Of course there are other options like soft plastic, hard plastic, wood cases, cardboard sliders, tin cans etc. Again the best thing to do it speak with a customer service rep who will help you determine which is the best for you.

Hopefully this blog on custom playing cards has helped to inform you a little bit on the decisions you will be making before your purchase. Please visit http://www.521promo.com/ for a custom playing card quote or any questions you may have.

Thanks,
Jean
